This mud pool has been used in the past as a source of very potent insecticide. Rotorua Maori would spray the water from this mud pool over their vegetables and fruit trees and never have to worry about insect attacks! Because it is a natural product and degrades over time you can also eat the fruit and vegetables without having to wash them first.
